Make a Gift to the Foundation
Every dollar you contribute creates opportunity. Your tax-deductible donation directly funds scholarships, academic enrichment programs, and community college readiness initiatives for students across the Gulf Coast.
Your Impact
The New College Foundation relies on the generosity of individual donors, corporate partners, and community organizations to sustain and expand its scholarship portfolio and program offerings. Because we are a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN: 59-3841027), your contribution is fully deductible to the extent permitted by law. We allocate 89 cents of every dollar received directly to student-facing programs and scholarship disbursements.
$50 — Textbook Stipend
Covers the cost of required course materials for one student for one semester. Many scholarship recipients cite textbook costs as an unexpected financial burden that threatens their ability to remain enrolled.
$250 — SAT/ACT Preparation
Fully sponsors one student through the eight-week Preparation Clinic, including diagnostic testing, instructional materials, two proctored practice exams, and a registration-fee waiver for one official sitting.
$1,000 — Bridge Scholar Stipend
Covers housing, meals, and instructional materials for one student during the six-week College Bridge Intensive residential program. Bridge scholars earn three transferable college credits and receive admissions counseling.
$5,000 — Named Annual Scholarship
Establishes a one-year named scholarship awarded to a student meeting criteria you define in consultation with the Foundation. Named awards are recognized at the Annual Scholars Banquet and in the Foundation's annual report.
$100,000+ — Endowed Scholarship Fund
Creates a permanently endowed scholarship fund that generates annual awards in perpetuity. Endowed funds are named according to your wishes, managed under the Foundation's Investment Policy Statement, and independently audited each year. Current endowed funds average a 4.5% annual distribution rate.
Giving Options
The Foundation accepts gifts in the following forms: cash and check donations, credit card and electronic fund transfers, donor-advised fund distributions, qualified charitable distributions from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA), gifts of publicly traded securities (appreciated stock transfers may provide additional tax benefits), corporate matching gifts, and planned gifts through bequests, charitable remainder trusts, and beneficiary designations. Our development team is available to discuss the giving option that best aligns with your philanthropic goals and tax planning needs.
